Use those winter blues

This month over at Crafty Purple Frog we want you to turn the winter blues into your inspiration and make something inspired by the colour blue.

For this card I have used the super cute Frosty stamp that I have coloured with spectrum noir illustrator pens. I then used some foam pads to make him stand out from the background a bit. The sentiment is from the contemporary sentiments stamp set and stamped in memento black ink
the design paper is from the spring sentiments paper pack. The twine is from the blue skies set. I put it all together with collall glue on a C6 card.

For this second card I have used some of the brand new Wow! Embossing powders, Avocado, misty sky and perissa. The back ground stamp is called Tropical and the sentiment is called friendship. The little gems are from the teal goody bag. The card is a 5x5 scalloped card and I put it all together with collall glue.

I hope you are all having a great weekend and are nearly ready for Christmas :D

Huge hugs

From tiny acorns

I just could not resist this little guy when I saw him over at Mo's digital pencil. I coloured him up with promarkers and then used some mica spray on a 4x4 card before drawing round the edge and finishing it off with a sentiment stamp from Krafitin' Kimmie's buds and blooms set.
This image spoke to me most as I am just setting up my own online craft shop having been running craft getaways for a while I am branching out on my own and hoping that from the tiny seeds I can make something great. Time will tell. I have just ordered some of Mo's great images in stamp form from Penny Black and am waiting for them to arrive from America. I really want to try a support the companies and people who have inspired me in my own crafting and can't wait to get a fuller range in :D
If you like challenges and the chance to win prizes I am starting a challenge blog for the new shop and will be looking for a DT as well. The first challenge will be on the 10th of November at the Crafty Purple Frog blog so keep an eye on it.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Getting a bit manly

I loved making this card. I just can't get enough of Mo Manning's images and this little dwarf 7 is just brilliant for a manly card. I always struggle so much with mens cards and I have to say this image makes it very easy :D I coloured him with promarkers and tore around the edges before doodling around the him and then using ground espresso ink with my dreamweaver brushes to distress all the edges. The paper is from crafters companion brights set. The twine is from dovecrafts forget me not pack.  The great fun sentiment is from the smiles and years set.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
I love promarkers - distress those edges
The sisterhood of crafters - Pumkins or the colour orange

If you love challenges then keep an eye on the Crafty Purple Frog blog as we will be starting a new monthly challenge on the 10th of November and we will also be having a DT call so don't miss out! :)

What a great crafty weekend!

I am just back from a crafting weekend with Crafty Purple frog. We had a brilliant time crafting for the whole weekend surrounded by other crafters and with drinks and cakes on hand at all times. It was bliss!

While there I made several cards. These are a couple of them.....

For this first one I used a C6 card that I stamped all over using stamps from the pretty butterfly lullaby set. I stamped the main swirls in memento gray flannel ink and then used wow! ultra slow drying embossing pad to stamp the butterflies and emboss them using avocado (one of the new Wow! colours) and strawberry sundae. Then I inked around the card with my dreamweaver brushes and hickery smoke distress ink. The pink paper is a tiny strip from Dovecrafts pink goody bag. The die cut swirl is Fancy flourishes. And to finish it off I used the great sentiment stamp Friendship. The little dots I made using more of the strawberry sundae embossing powder and melt - it powder.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Creative moments - Anything goes
Fab n' Funky - Animals (for the butterflies in the background)
Inspiration destination - Anything goes

For this card I have used this adorable image by the amazingly talented Mo manning called Corgi and Bess ugly sweater I coloured her with promarkers and doodled around the edge. I also then doodled around the edge of the 5x5 scalloped card blank so they matched. The paper is from the first editions Christmas wishes pack and the pearls are from dovecrafts green and red pack.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Digi chooseday - Anything goes
Crafty sentiments - Anything goes

If you are a fan of challenges then make sure you keep an eye on the Crafty Purple Frog blog as we have a new challenge starting on the 10th of November and will also be having a DT call.

Huge hugs to you all
